Best films of the 2017 so far from Get Out and Baby Driver to Wonder Woman

We're just a little over halfway through 2017, so what better time to look back on the first few months of the year and the best of what cinema had to offer us so far. From awards season treating us to brilliant outings such as La La Land and Moonlight to the beginnings of a strong-looking summer blockbuster with the likes of Wonder Woman and Baby Driver, there's certainly been something for every kind of movie lover to enjoy.

Baby Driver review: Edgar Wright's toe-tapping thrill ride is the film this blockbuster season needs

This summer, filmmaker Edgar Wright makes his eagerly-anticipated return to the big screen with Baby Driver; a slick crime comedy drama - that doubles as a jukebox musical - featuring the likes of Jon Hamm, Lily James and Ansel Elgort. But with heavy-hitters Jamie Foxx and Kevin Spacey filling out the line-up, does the movie manage to live up to its star-studded cast?

Well well well... I can't believe it's been over two years since I last wrote on this blog. The reason? Writing for publications zapped all my time and I lost focus on this personal outlet, in all honesty.

Netflix Recommendation Of The Week!

Sundays are made for chilling on the sofa with some chocolate in one hand, a cup of tea in the other whilst enjoying an incredibly lazy movie marathon. So it seemed only appropriate that my recommendation today had to be a perfect Sunday movie.

When Ned gets released from jail prematurely, after being caught attempting to sell marijuana to a police officer, he has no choice but to rely on his family to help him get back on his feet, after his girlfriend breaks up with him, kicks him out and worst of all keeps their joint dog, Willie Nelson. But his sister's aren't too pleased about having their bum of a brother barging in to their grown-up lives!

Five Reasons You HAVE to watch Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Yesterday, Netflix launched it's seventh Netflix Original adult-aimed programme in the form of comedy, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and boy, did they do well with this one!

Its simple format has each episode following wide-eyed and wonderfully weird Kimmy Schmidt as she learns about modern life and makes a life for herself in New York City, after being saved from a Reverend-run underground cult, she had been a prisoner of for 15 years, believing that the rest of the world had been destroyed. (Yes, I assure you, it's a comedy series).

New Avengers: Age Of Ultron poster tells all

Masters of creating hype, Marvel released an official poster for the upcoming Avengers Assemble sequel, Age Of Ultron, yesterday and whilst it's annoyingly similar to the first movie's promotional material and doesn't quite pack the same punch as action-packed concept art revealed at last year's Comic-Con, this new insight into the film gives superhero fans a lot to take in.

Oscars 2015: Red Carpet's Best Looks

When it comes to fashion, it was an evening of two halves last night, as celebrities subconciously split themselves into two groups; those who donned dramatic dark outfits that made an eye-catching impact, and those who went for softer neutral shades nodding their heads to old-hat 50's glamour. Deep reds, blues and striking monochrome were favourites amongst the stars last night, as were lemon, peach and cream tones.
